Pet Care Services

I will provide food and fresh water as per your instructions to ensure that your pets receive the proper dietary requirements for a healthy lifestyle.

Feeding/Watering

I will provide plenty of indoor playtime, light exercise, and/or cuddle sessions as your pets desire. Enrichment activities help to keep your pets active, healthy, and safe. May also include brushing/combing or just sitting quietly with your pets. Based on what your pets like and need.

Indoor Playtime/Cuddle Sessions

A clean litterbox means a happy pet! Accidents can and do happen, so light clean-ups are provided at also provided as needed. This service can be provided as a standalone visit to help busy pet parents, pregnant moms, the elderly, and/or recovering clients who need an extra hand taking care of routine maintenance.

Litterbox Maintenance/Light Clean-Up

If your pets have a secure outside area, I can provide let-outs with light outdoor exercise, if so desired. This time can be used for potty breaks, playtime/light exercise, or just chilling in the sun. Customized for your pets.

Let-Outs/Outdoor Exercise

Every pet is different and has different needs. Whether you want specific treats and supplements to be given or if your pet has prescribed medications and treatments. As an experienced pet care provider, I can assure you that your pet will receive the care and attention needed.

Treats/Medication

A special customized service that may include assistance and transportation to and from vet/groomer appointments, shopping and pick-up for pet supplies/medications, litter box maintenance or just additional TLC. These services are billed by the amount of time required(in 30-minute increments ONLY) to complete each. You decide!

<h2>LYFT &amp; ASSIST</h2>

If you work all day and your pet needs to get out and get some exercise, I can help! Maybe you need to be out of town for the day and want to make sure that your pet is comfortable, safe, and cared for. Whether it is a one-time visit or regular daily visits, I am here to help. All visits are tailored to your pet's needs and based on age, activity level, and health.

<h2>Mid-Day Dog Walks/Exercise</h2>

If your pet needs a longer walk or hike, I am happy to provide that. All outings are done one-on-one to comply with the local leash laws. Exceptions may be made with approval on private property, enclosed areas, public dog-friendly parks and recreation areas, etc. Safety is of the utmost importance to ensure a pleasant experience.

<h2>Extended Dog Walks/Hiking</h2>

If you want to plan a special day for your pet, I can help! Whether it is a special playdate, supervised afternoon daycare in your home or mine, or just extra special attention. This custom service can help with special needs pets, elderly pets, or just pamper your pet when you can't be there! It is up to you! I will customize a visit that suits your needs.

How to Join the Aunt Kat's Pet Care Family!

Join Aunt Kat's Pet Care family by completing the required forms and following the steps outlined below: 1.) Complete the required forms. The forms can be viewed and/or downloaded from the FORMS page. They can be completed digitally or manually, as you prefer. Once this is done, you can either return them to me via PDF attachments through e-mail or provide the hard copies at the initial Meet-and-Greet visit. This helps to streamline the process for all. 2.) CONTACT ME to schedule to informal Meet-and-Greet visit to be done at your home. After you have completed the required forms, you can contact me to schedule the initial home visit. This visit is required before I can schedule any services. It is a chance for us to get to know each other, ask questions/address concerns, tour the home and all areas that I will need access to, meet your pets, and to create a custom care plan that will be used to care for your pets. If you plan to schedule services soon, it is recommended that you provide the key/code necessary to access the home at this time. If you prefer to leave the keys on the premises in a designated location, please be sure to indicate same on the intake forms. 3.) Schedule services. Once you have completed the enrollment process, you can schedule appointments anytime via text(preferred), e-mail, or phone call. I will always acknowledge requests and work with you to find a suitable alternative if I am not available as requested. I ask that you PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS ALONE AND UNATTENDED! I will always send a confirmation/invoice via e-mail or text once the service or service period has been booked. If you do not get a confirmation/invoice from me in a timely manner, please reach out to me! As much as I love my computer and smart phone, sometimes messages can get lost or directed to the wrong address, etc. I cannot be held responsible for any technical issues that may happen. PLEASE NOTE: All visits are scheduled by TIME FRAME and NOT BY TIME. This is simply due to the fact that I spend a lot of time on the road traveling from one visit to the next and there are a lot of variables that can affect my schedule. 4.) Payment. Payment is due at the first scheduled visit for every service period. Late payments may result in a service fee and billed to your account. All accounts must be paid-in-full and current before any future services will be booked. At the present time, I can only accept CASH PAYMENTS. Once I get the business up and running, I hope to be able to accept other forms of payment, including local checks, credit/debit cards, and transfers. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I will keep this website up-to-date and post any change/updates as they happen. 5.) Policies and Procedures. My Policies and Procedures will always be available and posted on my website. I set up and ran a ferret rescue for many years. ﻿As a nurse, I am keenly aware of the little details that some might overlook. I am the proud pet parent of 9 cats, a bunny, and a dog. I will care for your pets as I do my own.

Empty food containers, dirty paper towels, and all other waste materials can cause odors and attract pests(ants, flies, mice, etc.). This does NOT include your regular household trash items!

In general, this includes Lee, Lenox Dale, Lenox, Stockbridge, some parts of Tyringham, and some parts of Becket as determined by Google Maps. Standard visit is up to 30 minutes. TRAVEL TIME is included at no additional cost.

Out of Area (10-25 minutes one-way)

Terms &amp; Conditions

Booking Confirmation Once you request services(via text, e-mail, or phone call), I will confirm the booking, discuss specific instructions, and send you a confirmation/invoice via e-mail or text. Services are NOT BOOKED until you get a confirmation/invoice from me. For the safety of your pets, I ask that you please refrain from leaving your pets alone and unattended until services have been accepted, booked, and confirmed by me. Cancellation Policy If you need to cancel a scheduled service period or visit, please provide enough advance notice so as to avoid a cancellation fee. For ALL pet sitting services, I require at least ONE FULL WEEK(5 business days) advance notice. Please note that I am a sole owner/operator and do the scheduling/bookkeeping weekly. To cancel a visit or service period, please contact me via:TEXT to: 413-446-8099 (PREFERRED)E-MAIL to: Cancel@icloud.comPHONE CALL to: 413-446-8099 I will acknowledge your confirmation as soon as I receive it. Please allow 24-48 hours if submitted on the weekend. If your cancellation falls within the recommended time frame of 5 business days, there will be no fee. If you do not allow sufficient advance notice, then a fee will be added to your account and must be paid upon receipt before any future scheduling will be accepted. In the event of an emergency, please inform me as soon as possible. Exceptions will be made for true emergencies(NOT for repeated "emergencies"), but not for inconvenience or last-minute changes in plans. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY LAST-MINUTE(LESS THAN 5 BUSINESS DAYS) CHANGES IN PLANS, EARLY RETURNS, ETC. Changes To A Requested Service Period If you should need to make any changes to a scheduled service period, please contact me as soon as possible. I can almost always add visits, if needed. I will always do my best to accommodate your request. Additional visits will be scheduled and billed the same as the original request. Additionally, an updated confirmation/invoice will be sent. Payment Terms Payment for scheduled services is due no later than the FIRST SCHEDULED VISIT for each scheduled service period. For clients who wish to book regular weekly or monthly visits, you will be billed at the beginning of each scheduled service period. NOTE: My work week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. All regular scheduling and invoicing is done over the weekend. At this point, I am only accepting CASH payments. If and when it becomes feasible for me to accept any other forms(checks, debit/credit cards, electronic transfers of funds, etc.) of payment, I will notify clients and update this page. Pet Care Responsibilities I will provide pet care services in your home. I will ensure that your pets are fed, watered, medicated, and given attention according to your instructions and their needs. It is up to you to keep your customized care plans up-to-date. I recommend that you review and provide written changes regularly and as needed. Additional forms will always be available on this website and can be downloaded and submitted to me at any time. Please remember that I use your care plan when providing pet care services. If there should be changes that are not documented, then I cannot be held responsible. By scheduling services, you accept responsibility for updating and informing me of any changes to the care plan as they arise. Liability Disclaimer While I will always take the utmost care of your pets, I am not liable for any unforeseen circumstances that may occur during my visits and/or between visits. This includes, but is not limited to, anything that may occur if there should be others that have access to your home immediately before/after and during any scheduled visit or service period. For safety reasons, I ask that you inform me in advance of any people that have permission to be at or in the home during a scheduled service period. For the same reasons, I ask that you please inform me of all vehicles that are allowed on your property. If I should arrive at your home to find unauthorized vehicles or people at the residence, I will deem it unsafe to proceed with the visit. If it appears to be safe for me, but I am uncertain, I may try to contact you first. If it appears to be suspicious, then I may contact local law enforcement directly and let them deal with the situation at hand. You will be billed for any trips that I make to your home regardless of whether or not I enter the home and provide pet care services. I will resume scheduled services once it is safe for me to do so. Privacy Policy Your privacy is important to mel. I will respect your privacy at all times and will never share your personal information with any third parties without your consent. Please review my Privacy Policy for specific details regarding how your data will be collected and used as well as how I will protect your personal information. Feedback and Concerns I always welcome feedback from my clients and will address any concerns promptly to ensure your satisfaction. After my cancer/chemo in 2024, I was left with chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy which caused numbness/tingling, muscle spasms and loss of dexterity in my hands and feet. In addition, the foot drop made walking/hiking challenging, too. Even after occupational and physical therapy, I require the use of AFO's to ambulate safely. As a result, I had to close Berkshire Pet Pals, LLC to focus on healing and rehab. I have since found that the knitting/crocheting and assembling of my hanging gnomes helps to alleviate some of the symptoms and served as physical/occupational/emotional therapy all in one! The Lucky Gnome Project is a very special project that created while I was undergoing my cancer/chemo treatment. The chemotherapy left me with permanent nerve damage/CIPN(chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy) in my hands as well as foot drop in both feet among other side effects.&nbsp; The numbness, tingling, cramping/spasms and reduced dexterity in my hands has made a lot of simple daily tasks extremely difficult.&nbsp; Knitting/crocheting and assembling these gnomes has become part of my healing journey.&nbsp;It helps me to build strength and dexterity while reducing the severity of the symptoms.&nbsp;What started as a hobby has become a form of occupational/physical/emotional therapy all in one. European legend says that the gnomes protect and bring prosperity, luck and good health to the people and homes they watch over. My signature is the daisy which represents hope, happiness and love. Together they will bring the best of luck, health, happiness and love to you, your family, and your home.
