A New Creative Chapter: Crafty Kat Designs

If you’ve found your way here, you probably already know that animals, creativity, and caring for others have always been at the heart of who I am.

While Aunt Kat’s Pet Care was a planned venture that ultimately did not move forward, my desire to stay connected, creative, and engaged never went away. Life had other plans, and financial hardship/permanent physical limitations required me to rethink what was realistic — not just professionally, but personally as well.

That reflection led me to something unexpected and comforting: Crafty Kat Designs.

Crafty Kat Designs began as a creative outlet — and remains, first and foremost, a hobby. It allows me to continue doing something I love at my own pace, without pressure or rigid expectations. Creating brings me joy, focus, and a sense of purpose, even on days when my body demands more rest.

ROOTED IN ANIMALS AND MEANING

Animals have always played a central role in my life, and they naturally inspire much of what I create. Whether it’s pet-inspired décor, meaningful keepsakes, or seasonal handmade items, each piece is made thoughtfully and with intention. There is no assembly line here — just creativity, care, and heart.

Crafty Kat Designs gives me the freedom to explore ideas, try new techniques, and enjoy the process rather than chase outcomes.

KEEPING IT A HOBBY-FOR NOW

At this stage, Crafty Kat Designs is about seeing what feels right. I may participate in small craft fairs, create items for friends and family, or simply design for the joy of it. If it grows into something more someday, I’ll welcome that thoughtfully. If it remains a creative hobby, that is just as valid.

LOOKING AHEAD

This isn’t a goodbye, and it isn’t an ending. It’s simply a shift. It is the next chapter and hopefully NOT the last!
